Sophie Crocker holds a BFA from University of Victoria, has studied at the Banff Centre, and is currently a creative writing MFA candidate at the University of British Columbia, where she is working on her first novel. Sophie is the promotions editor for PRISM International and the co-director of Poetry Trapper Keeper. (Read all her work for PTK here and follow her on Substack here).

Sophie is a three-time Newfoundland Arts and Letters Award winner, recipient of the W.P. Kinsella Award for fiction, and winner of The New Twenties’ Penny Ante contest. Sophie’s poetry, fiction and book reviews have been published internationally. Her work can be found in The Adroit Journal, Best Canadian Poetry 2023, Best Canadian Stories 2026, and elsewhere. Her first book of poetry, brat, was released from Gordon Hill Press in fall of 2022.
